Overall, this depends on how much time you want to put into it and what you want out of it. We ask that you dedicate approximately 6-10 hours a month at minimum from April through August. This will consist of bi-weekly workshops (2 hours), meeting with mentors and completing any assignments pre or post workshops.

We don't have any requirements on where applicants live. Considering that part of the workshops are hosted live at The CMPND in downtown Winston-Salem and that one of benefits is having a membership to the CMPND we want to make sure that the participants that we choose will be able to join our live sessions and take advantage of the studio time allotted to them as members. We have had participants in the past that lived in Greensboro and High Point.

Yes, we welcome previous applicants to apply again. We understand the let down that can occur when you put time and effort into something only to find out that it didn't work out this time. We have had competitive applicant pools in the previous years and narrowing our selections down to only a few people is difficult. If you are still interested in being in this program then the best thing you can do is apply.

We don't have a set number, but we will likely accept around 5-10 applicants. Some determining factors will be the the funding that we have for the program, the number of applicants and the quality of the applications that we receive.
