We came together with a shared vision of wanting to create a space where we could foster creative community, have the tools and resources necessary to do "the thing" as an artist (musician) in one location, and provide the creative community with opportunities to further pursue their craft with support and accountability.

At its core, the CMPND seeks to answer this question: How do we best represent our individual lanes in the community and create space for others through that work?" We are all individually talented—Alec with his financial background and event/artist management and networking skills; Monty as an artist and creative, his marketing background and the lived experience as a working artist; Spencer as a community liaison, selector and his presence at the heart of the creative community—and the conversation is an assemblage of a few years, a few events, developed skills and lifetime of discovery. With council from trusted friends and other members of the community we endeavored to create something that would authentically be us and help satisfy some needs we'd identified over time.
